Asus ZenBook 13 and one of the Very good laptops I tried for a long time. The ZenBook line is always packed with surprisingly competitive prices, but the most recent color for two reasons: a beautiful OLED display and a Ryzen 5000U chip.
The amazing thing about Ryzen 5000U’s new AMD processors is that you get functionality that often attracts 11th generation Intel processors (“Tiger Lake”) for very little money. The AMD version of the Asus laptop starts at $ 800 for the Ryzen 5 model, which is more for most people. The cheaper version of the Ryzen 7-series that I tested approaches the performance of a Apple M1 chip inside MacBooks recently, as well as low cost. Minimum Keyboard
While the ZenBook 13 is very important, there is one disappointment you have to endure: the keyboard. Some might call it narrow, which it is, but it’s not my biggest problem. What bothers me is the extra right row of keys and keys that are usually in the NumPad, such as Page Up and Home.
It can make the QWERTY area not in the middle of the trackpad. Every time I put my hands on both sides of the trackpad, I do not touch the keys I think I am touching. Apart from the keyboard, there are many other things to like about the design of the ZenBook. These laptops are always as light as feathers, a svelte machine, and the new color is no more. It weighs more than 2.5 pounds, and has more than half an inch of hair.
When you open the ZenBook cover, the cable lifts the back of the body upside down, giving the keyboard a 3-degree low (approximate) distance. This also helps the air to circulate under the Islamic control to keep things cool. Whether or not the results of this design are uncertain, but only once in all my experiments did I hear fans coming. (Frankly, an hour-long workshop in Microsoft Teams is underway whatever the laptop sounds like an airplane engine.)
OLED and Ryzen 5000U Series
My first favorite on the ZenBook 13 was the AMD Ryzen 5000U block, and it doesn’t disappoint. I had benchmarks against the previous AMD (Ryzen 7 4000 series) and Intel i7 Lenovo which I try again. These are apples and oranges, so I wouldn’t go into too much detail, but the 5000U series surpassed them all in any test of several colors, which is exactly what you would expect. Where the Intel brand can win is in the game.
The most exciting thing for me was the real experience of producing and sending video, which was burning fast, even close to the Ryzen 4000 machine, and watching HD video, which looks great on 13-inch OLED displays. This is one of the first laptops under $ 1,000 I have ever seen with an OLED display. It’s only 1080p, unlike the 4K OLED in some of Dell’s other devices, but it still looks fun, with darker, heavier and more vibrant colors.
