Apple’s retail store has closed due to the spread of COVID-19

Apple has often been very cautious about dealing with COVID-19 as it is releases store rules, but it was clearly not enough to stop the spread among the workers. NBC News reports The Apple store in Southlake, Texas was closed until December 13 after 22 employees were diagnosed with the disease. Four employees tested positive for Black Friday, NBC studied, and the cases seem to have spread.

Affected workers are required to isolate themselves for 10 days and leave two days without symptoms before returning, according to the group meeting. Anyone returning at 13 will have to actively test the antigen COVID-19 yesterday.

There are fears that the plague could be prevented. An employee at Southlake said it was difficult to maintain contact even before Black Friday, while others said he was encouraged to come to work even though he mentioned symptoms such as COVID in a formal investigation. Employees were also wrongly told that they would not ask for special sick leave unless they were diagnosed with the virus.

We asked Apple to comment on these reports. In words of NBC, the speaker focused on a “complete” approach to security that includes regular testing, masks, cleansing and paid leave.

Apple met with predictions of better management of past sales employees, including (quitting) long-term wallet search. There may be a number of reasons that work in this regard, however. Whether the leadership was responsible or not, employees say they are concerned that there are too many obstacles to achieve their goals. Supervisors may be pressured to use patients instead of being at risk of failing to meet store objectives.
