AirTag has a number of ways to help it appear on some of my acquisition tools. NFC integration makes it easy to set up with iPhones, but the real star of the show is the Ultra-wideband feature that helps you get the most accurate tags. As long as you have an Apple device with UWB (iPhone 11 or new), you can identify the exact location where you lost your belongings – useful if something has fallen between the cushions.
Great performance, as with Apple devices, revolves around the environment. When you can use an Android phone to help restore the device with AirTag or (soon) find tags nearby, you need an iPhone to set up Tags and track them remotely. You also need extras if you want to jump the tag to the keychain or wallet. Batteries are flexible, however, and the simple interface can be as fun as you think alternatives it is stupid or foolish.
