Amazon has signed a long-term agreement with the Women’s National Basketball Association to watch the game on Prime Video, WNBA has he announced. The deal also includes the freedom of international participation in 16 WNBA season matches including the Commissioner’s Cup tournament scheduled for August 12 at the Phoenix Suns Arena.
The deal shows that Amazon paid for the first time in basketball after publishing a full-time season Major League Baseball, NFL and MLS game. The game will be available in most Prime Video markets, unfortunately not only China, Japan, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Finland, and Germany.
As part of its deal with Amazon, just the league he announced Commissioner’s Cup, is a competitive sport that “will be the culmination of the first annual WNBA tournament, in-season.” Amazon will showcase nine contested games, after which the competition games “will be shown on Prime Video on August 12,” according to the league.
The WNBA games are as well as downloads on Twitter, Facebook and Paramount + this summer, and the league is working with Google on its “Changemakers” ads.
