Amazon says they are in talks to buy MGM

Now that promotional videos are about to be as large as possible, what can Amazon do to keep more? According to rumors reported by More, Variety and New York Times, plans to spend $ 9 billion on MGM, which comes with a movie library that includes franchises like James Bond, The Hobbit, Stargate and Robocop plus thousands of other movies. MGM also bought all the ownership of the Epix method in 2017.

Last week Amazon announced that former CEO, Jeff Blackburn, had returned to the company to oversee businesses including Amazon Studios and Twitch, and thought that part of the move was an opportunity to oversee the MGM library.

These rumors were based on a report from Forbes in January, though both sides say the deal has not yet been signed. However, time seems to be appropriate for a new approach from Amazon, as Netflix joins Sony Pictures, AT&T sells WarnerMedia and Disney + continues to release content in Star Wars / MCU.
