Abbott is working on biowearables to test sugar, lactate and ketones

Health tech Company is working on “automatic clothing” devices to control certain aspects of the human body, with the idea that it will give users more information on their lives and help them to take action. Lingo devices test sugar, ketones and lactate, and ultimately control the amount of alcohol.
“This will be like having a window in your body,” Abbott CEO Robert B. Ford told CES. “It’s a science that you can access at any time to understand what your body is telling you and what it needs.”
Abbott is a name . It is the most sought after maker BinaxNOW active testing of COVID-19. It is also behind , one of the most well-known continuous diagnostics that challenge the need for blood tests with a stick.
The incoming clothing, which was not designed for use in the hospital, is based on Abbott’s expertise in the design of the Freestyle Livre. Athletes are using this type of device to help develop their diet in their training and competition. With Lingo, the company plans to develop blood sugar monitoring systems to help people monitor factors such as sleep, weight and energy levels.
The purpose of the biowearable ketone is to provide continuous monitoring of ketone bodies so that wearers can see how quickly they enter ketosis. It is a condition in which the body does not have enough food to convert to energy and instead burns fat (and makes ketones). With lactate dressing, Abbott’s goal is to continuously measure the amount of lactate while working. It claims to be able to provide insight into racing games.
It will take time for Abbott to bring this technology to the consumer market. If the clothing comes along and works as promised, it should help those who want to be more careful about their body image to do so.
