A Sony executive says the movie studio is not for sale

Sony TV and television studios are not for sale and will act as a stand-alone player even if they are involved in the entertainment industry around the world, according to a Japanese company official.

As traditional media groups have made significant strides in competition with their rivals to compete against Netflix and Amazon, Sony has taken a different approach. Asked if Sony decided to buy MGM, the file studio behind James Bond Permission, Yoshida said the group is always thinking about the opportunity to join the purchase. “I think MGM has a very good library [of movies and shows], but it all comes with a price and needs to be considered, ”he added.

While market integration has highlighted the importance of Sony’s film and TV business, analysts say there may be fewer prospects of buying Sony Pictures if any Amazon-acquired MGM deal goes through.

“Over time, we hope that Sony will face greater competition for expertise and services from small independent independent manufacturing and marketing products on the web page. Demand is on the rise, but food is growing,” Macquarie researcher Damian Thong wrote in a recent report.

Mr Thong said selling Sony Pictures is a great way to make a profit for the business so that the money can be used in places such as sports, although he acknowledged this is not in doubt.
