The Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, are preparing a lawsuit against Manhattan’s Cyrus Vance district attorney early next week, according to sources.

Vance summoned the Supreme Court to hear evidence at the end of May, indicating that years of research had reached a critical juncture. Under New York state law, prosecutors cannot sue the company fraudulently without first calling for supervision.
The former Weisselberg daughter, Jennifer, has told critics of what she says are benefits that Trump’s agency offers, including rental housing, schooling, luxury cars and more. He said the gifts outside of the books were used to promote loyalty and reduce taxes.

Ronald Fischetti, Trump’s attorney general, issued a notice denying any charges.
“In my more than 50 years of working, I have never seen a lawyer’s office pay a company for a refund or a reward,” he said. “The IRS would not have filed a lawsuit like this.”
At the meeting, Trump’s lawyers also claimed that the district attorney had not paid a fine to Wall Street’s central bank after the 2008 financial crisis, making the former president’s case baseless, according to one of the people interviewed on Zoom.
Vance opened his investigation in 2018, following reports that former President Michael Cohen had paid “money” to women who claimed to have held talks with those elected to the presidency. Cohen testified in Congress that he had arranged talks with Weisselberg for a reimbursement for the Trump administration, which was listed as legal tender.
The study was designed to focus on bank fraud and accountants by the Trump administration, as well as whether it raised the prices of other commodities to protect the bank’s interest rates and lower its taxes.
Critics have continued to pressure in recent months over Weisselberg, who was hired by the father of former president Fred Trump, and has claimed to be the “eyes and ears” of the company.
His alliance, with former prosecutors he says, could be crucial in bringing about a bigger lawsuit against the company or Trump. Trump’s three eldest children – Donald, Jr., Ivanka and Eric – have also held senior positions in the company. So far, Weisselberg has refused to participate in the deal, according to people familiar with the matter.
