FedEx has received its first five GM-powered electric vehicles from over 500, the company announced. This move represents an important milestone for FedEx in its goal of having all power supply vessels and to remain politically neutral worldwide by 2040.
“The launch of the first BrightDrop EV600s is a historic moment, born out of the spirit of cooperation between the two largest American companies,” said Mitch Jackson, chief executive of FedEx. “[T]Upgrading our cargo vessels to electric vehicles is critical to achieving our sustainable goals that were announced earlier this year. “

FedEx was announced as a key customer in the industry Brightdrop EV600 cars and he has sat down to try Brightdrop electric EP1 pallets over time. GM, owned by Chevrolet and Cadillac, came out Brightdrop business unit earlier this year. “The EV600 combines the best of both traditional and single-wheel drive features, maintaining driver safety, comfort, and peace of mind,” said Brightdrop CEO Travis Katz. “It’s also the fastest-built vehicle, from concept to market, in GM history.”
The high-speed EV600 has 600 cubic feet of cargo space and can go up to 250 kilometers at a price. Inside, drivers find safety inside the luggage compartment, locking doors and self-contained indoor lighting. They also benefit from the help of automatic brakes and parking. The EP1 is a type of trolley commonly found in stores and warehouses, with 23 cubic feet of space and an electric car that makes it easy to move heavy objects.
The first five EV600 are being delivered to FedEx’s Express facility in Inglewood, California. To help FedEx build washing stations on all of its networks, including the 500 already installed in California. It is also working with power utility companies to determine the amount of power grid required for its cost-effective development.
Although FedEx has dropped its supply chain with GM, the UPS competitor has said ordered 10,000 electricity delivery vehicles from Ideas of the UK-based Arrival Ltd company. Amazon right now, set the order for 100,000 Rivian electric vans and even owns 20 percent of the company. Amazon is ahead of FedEx and UPS, having already started shipping electricity to Rivian in both Angels and San Francisco.
