Xiaomi is now really rich on smartphone platforms. Download to compare that the Chinese giant became the second largest phone in the world in the second quarter of 2021, increasing 83% annually demanding 17% of the market. The company not only outscored Apple (14%) to take second place, but outscored its Chinese rivals OpK and Vivo of China, both with 10%. Samsung retained its lead at 19 percent, but there seems to be no big chance.
The secret, as you can imagine, was the price. Xiaomi’s retail prices are lower than those of Samsung (40%) and Apple (75 percent), as well as brands Mi 11 it’s cheap. This probably contributed to the strong growth of Xiaomi countries, including a jump of 300% in Latin America, an increase of 150% in Africa and 50% in Western Europe. And unlike its competitors, Huawei, Xiaomi does not have a US listing disrupting his future.
We do not know if Xiaomi will still use it. The second quarter is Apple’s weak record as it comes to the end of the iPhone release tail. Canalys also said that Oppo and Vivo are not silent – they have their own dream world domination. And if Xiaomi is hoping to escape its cheap history, it needs smartphones like Mi 11 Wide and Mi Mix Fold to be heard in public.
Even a second second location may be known, however. Although Xiaomi has been a major presence in China, the company has struggled to gain international recognition. Now, it’s big enough to fight behemoths like Samsung and Apple – it’s just a question of whether Xiaomi can be a leader or not.
