Google is expanding its support for COVID-19 vaccine cards for Android devices

Google said so modified Its Pay “App Passes API” app to facilitate easy way of storing and displaying a digital card on Android for users COVID-19 DISEASES information about testing and vaccination. The specialist has provided medical organizations, government agencies, and organizations approved by health authorities to distribute the COVID vaccine access to the API. This means that their manufacturers can now create digital COVID vaccines and test cards that users can store on their devices.

As 9to5Google entries, Passes and Google Pay API which is used to store unpaid cards as merchant membership cards. However, there is no reason for users to download the Pay program if they do not have to be able to store the COVID digital cards created using the Passes API. When they receive a digital card, they can use it via social media at home without having to connect to the internet. That said, their devices should run Android 5 or later.

To address users’ privacy concerns, Google claims that it does not store the COVID-19 human vaccine and many other trials. The company also claims that they do not share card information with other people and that they do not use advertising content. Users can show anyone who wants the card, of course, even though they will need to have a lock on their device before storing their security card. The Passes API update is only available in the US at the moment, but the technology giant promises to deliver it to other countries in the future.
