YouTube TV is back on the Roku switch platform following a controversy between the two parties that have been running since April this year. The two agreed to a YouTube TV deal with a major YouTube program, which would have ended if the dispute had not been resolved.
“Roku and Google have teamed up to add years to YouTube and YouTube TV,” a Roku spokesman said in a statement. “The partnership represents a positive development for our shared partners, making YouTube and YouTube TV accessible to all viewers on the Roku platform.”
Year at first he pulled YouTube TV because it said Google created anti-competition, such as the popular installation of these apps and required Roku to use more chips. Google responded that Roku’s claims were “baseless” and that it only “sought to ensure viewers’ high quality and consistency.”
Both Roku and Google he said recently that YouTube’s main program could also be lost on Roku’s devices if a deal was not reached by December 9 – a loss that would have been widely felt by Roku owners. That made some negative press of the situation which may have brought more clarity to the discussion.
