Uber is an independent Motional company he announced Agreement today on “free shipping” through Uber Eats. As you can imagine, there are warnings.

The pilot is expected to be installed sometime “early in the year 2022,” although Motional (whose alliance between Hyundai and Aptiv) does not specify a timeline. Most of the food available through Uber Eats is no longer available. Instead, customers choose “on selected food from selected restaurants.”

Also this agreement will not be “without a driver” per sec. A spokesman for Motional told Engadget that “we will be launching the project with security personnel in the vehicle.” Independent food deliveries will soon be delivered in Santa Monica, California, where a large portion of the Motional team operates.

Some temporary questions, for example the number of vehicles they want to park on public roads, or what period they would allow to operate, remain. unanswered.

Under his previous leadership, Uber initially planned to gradually replace the experienced cab driver operators with more stability, then removed all of that money and invested in self-driving cars. “The reason Uber can be so expensive is because you pay a colleague in the car,” said former Travis Kalanick. he said in 2014, “When there is no other dude in the car, the cost of taking Uber anywhere is cheaper.” Six years later the company has been sold his self-propelled arm, known as the Advanced Technologies Group, to Aurora.

Since then, Uber has been in partnership with autonomous companies, such as Waymo. Motional has an ongoing partnership with Uber’s main enemy, Lyft, to establish independent ships in 2023.
