Qualcomm has upgraded its Snapdragon 7c device for PCs and Chromebooks

In late 2019, Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 8c and 7c, cheap chips always on Windows 10 PCs and Chromebooks. Today, the company is redesigning the two SoCs to improve performance. The program of Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 it has a Kyro CPU that can achieve clock speeds of up to 2.55GHz. The company claims to offer 10% faster than “many competing platforms.” Qualcomm must have processors from the Intel’s Gemini Lake family in mind here. The company also claims that 7c Gen 2 can offer several battery life to its competitors.

Outside of the CPU fast, 7c Gen 2 with the same snow chip Qualcomm announced in 2019. It has an Adreno 618 GPU modem with Snapdragon X15 LTE. This feature allows 7c Gen 2 to hit a bandwidth of 800 Mbps. As previously planned, the chip was designed to be a training and customer value proposition.
