William Gibson wrote his old book Student electronics about 40 years ago, but it still feels new today. Author of science fiction Matthew Kressel has been a fan of this book since he read it in 1987.
“Once I started reading Student electronics, all I had read before was years of gold and silver [sci-fi]-Arthur C. Clarke, Larry Niven, Asimov, all, “Kressel stated in Section 477 of Geek design in Galaxy Podcast. “Then when I met Student electronics, I was like, ‘What is this? This is very different. ‘”
Scientific fiction of the 40s and 50s led to the future of a combination of jetpacks, moving cars, and domestic robots. Student electronics helped to develop other ideas in the future, controlled by drug lords, drug lords, and small organizations.
