From: Talk to Al Jazeera

Argentina’s finance minister will discuss plans to revisit the biggest debt in IMF history.

As we enter the new year, the United Nations is predicting a global economic downturn.

For Argentina, this can be very difficult. South America has a few weeks left to restructure its debt with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The loan began in 2018, when then President Mauricio Macri signed a $ 57bn loan. His successor, President Alberto Fernandez, rejected the offer and sent his finance minister to discuss it again.

Will he do well? And will the world be able to solve its long-running economic woes? Argentina’s finance minister, Martin Guzman, addresses Al Jazeera.
