What You Need to Know About Google Play Store Updates

Google is starting it a major change in how software works on Android-And while the changes may not be very noticeable to consumers, it is important to know what is going on and why, if you are using Google phones.

Starting in August 2021, developers who want to publish new Android apps on the Google Play Store need to change the way these apps are made together: Instead of the APK (Android application package) version that has been in operation for many years, developers and will need to use frame AAB (Android app bundle) instead.

One of the key advantages of AAB is that it only provides the components of the program you need for your device. For example, if you’re using a phone, you don’t need large screens designed for tablet screens, to make the app smaller and lighter. Instead of developing and creating custom APKs on a variety of devices – or putting them all in one pile – you can use the AAB method to make this easier.

It also offers developers when it comes to deploying certain features (such as add-ons, perhaps) to other devices – users do not have to download anything at once, otherwise.

Another option you can use is the game: High-end games do not need to be downloaded immediately, which means users can get started quickly in low-key sections without getting too long. Again, all of this translates into a slight download with some useless program.

Through the Google Play Store, Google works to split the main Android app into special APKs for any device they want. On average, according to Google, these newly created APKs are 15% less than before.

AABs was launched with Android 9 in 2018, but now Google is insisting that developers move, possibly new apps. Apps that already exist in the Play Store can continue to use APKs for now, although this happens in one way: Google says it most of the top 1,000 programs now use AABs, and there are over 1 million programs that use bundles.
