Apple employs Tesla’s leader in Autopilot software

Apple has been very secretive in its efforts to develop a self-driving car, but according to Bloomberg, his recent move and recruiting key people from his toughest competition. The expert says he has hired Christopher “CJ” Moore, who has been director of Tesla’s Autopilot Software since 2019 and has been with the company since 2014. LinkedIn page, Bloomberg says he will also work on Apple apps and will explain Stuart Bowers. Owner Moore, Bowers worked like Tesla the title of the Autopilot section until its departure in 2019.

Back in May, Moore was one of the staff itself said California DMV that Elon Musk exaggerated the automaker’s autonomous timing. At the DMV meeting, he said what Musk said was that Level 5 driving is coming soon “It’s not the same as real technology.” Musk has been saying that Tesla’s technology will soon work with zero human intervention. In the meantime, it is still able to operate at Level 2, which still requires drivers to keep their hands on the wheel. Moore has been summoned as a witness in a case involving the death of a man in the 2019 Autopilot accident in Florida. Notes on the case revealed early October that Moore had already left Tesla.

Moore and Bowers are just two of the former Tesla Apple employees hired for their car segment. Other employers include Michael Schwekutsch, a former Tesla VP of Engineering and a railway operator, and Steve MacManus, a former Tesla VP of Engineering.
