‘By killing’: Opponents insult Israel, support Palestinians | Human Rights Issues
Opponents have traveled around the world to support the Palestinian people amid the worst violence between Israel and Palestine since the 2014 Gaza war.
At least 140 Palestinians, including 39 children, have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza earlier this week.
On Saturday, Israel headed for a refugee camp in Gaza where 10 Palestinians were killed.
Demonstrations took place in major cities around the world, including Doha, London, Paris and Madrid.
Iraq
Hundreds of protesters gathered in Iraqi cities to join the Palestinians.
The protesters waved Palestinian flags and placards in all five locations at rallies convened by religious leader Muqtada al-Sadr. Opposition groups called for the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and the southern states of Babylon, Dhi Qar, Diwanieh and Basra to protest.

In Doha, thousands waved flags and displayed communications in Palestine.
“I am fighting against the killing of Israel in our country. We will do whatever it takes to liberate our country.… Since we cannot be alone, we are here at the protests today. I am very angry, very upset about what is happening, “Reem Alghoul, a Palestinian living in Doha, told Al Jazeera.

Hundreds gathered in the Barbes area north of Paris where there were about 4,200 police officers.
Police in Paris used tear gas and water cannons to disperse a rally held even by government officials, who feared the onset of anti-Semitic violence during the ongoing Israeli-Hamas violence.
A few trash cans were set on fire and stones and other weapons were thrown at the police, but no one was arrested.

In Madrid, about 2,500 people, many of them young people wrapped in Palestinian flags, marched on the Puerta del Sol site in the center of the city.
“This is not a war, but a massacre,” he sang.
“They are killing us,” said Amira Sheikh-Ali, a 37-year-old Palestinian woman.

Hundreds of Lebanese and Palestinian people have staged protests along the Lebanese-Israeli border, with some climbing walls and setting fires in Israel that have injured one person.
Some protesters threw cocktails and Molotov stones on the walls during demonstrations on Saturday along the Lebanese border of Odayseh, as hundreds marched on Palestinian and Lebanese flags, as well as yellow flags of the Hezbollah group.
Lebanese and Palestinian people from around Lebanon have been marching to the border to protest against the Israeli occupation of Gaza.

In India’s Kashmir, police detained Palestinian protesters and detained about 20 of them.
Several people carrying Palestinian flags took to the streets in the capital, Srinagar, after Friday prayers.
The critics wrote letters against Israel.

United Kingdom
In London, several thousands of protesters carrying placards reading “Stop bombing Gaza” and chanting “Free Palestine” gathered at Marble Arch to march on the Israeli embassy.
Crowds crowded the streets of Kensington High where the ambassador was to be found.
Organizers said about 100,000 people had gathered to stage demonstrations through London; police say they could not confirm anyone.

Thousands of people marched in Berlin and other German cities following the call of the Samidoun Palestine Prisoner Solidarity Network.
Three times were allowed in Neuköln state in Berlin, where most people are of Turkish and Arabian origin.
The protesters shouted “Israel protest” and threw stones and bottles at the police, which led to several arrests. Other exhibitions took place in Frankfurt, Leipzig and Hamburg.
