Last October saw the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) threatening go on strike better residue and safety during regular rest. Even things got worse a difficult alliance, members of IATSE Local 839, aka Animation Group (TAG), was different from the discussion. Now you want their home to make sure that filmmakers get good pay for their work, their efforts are suspended.
Team leader Alexandra Drosu confirmed Deadline Friday that agreement has not been reached, so negotiations between TAG and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) will continue after the holidays. The discussion started on Monday and continued throughout the week, hoping things could end by the end of the week. In the past, the TAG agreement is AMPTP ended in July and then continued until the end of October.
Negotiating the new contract, TAG has been taking to Twitter to encourage video producers to pay the same amount as the content writers and highlighting the pay gap between the two mediums. Currently, filmmakers earn at least $ 2,064 each week (except for the show) Group Writers as The Simpsons), while the salaries of event writers are between $ 4,063 and $ 5,185. Following their discussion of better pay, TAG has highlighted how the cinema industry has managed to avoid being like the rest of Hollywood in the first year of the epidemic. “We are a very important part of the industry,” TAG wrote in their tweets posted. “We do the same work as our co-workers, and it’s time for our pay to show that … at the end of the day, we are all doing the same job.”
