Microsoft has not stopped development on HoloLens 3, according to an expert who is leading the company’s integrated components. Kipman’s tweets came in response to a published this week stating that the company has just abandoned plans for what would be HoloLens 3. Microsoft has strongly opposed the company’s offer. “We are committed to HoloLens and the future development of HoloLens,” Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw told Business Insider. He also said that the device is “the most difficult part of [the company’s] group plans that are coming up as real mixes with the metaverse. “
Like Shaw, Kipman did not explicitly state Microsoft’s ability to work with Samsung to develop a unique device, nor did it address the staffing issues that Microsoft’s team has to deal with. According to a recent report from The Kipman team lost about 100 people last year, and most of the workers left Meta.
Microsoft, however, seems to be growing in size . “We feel very comfortable to be able to capture what I think is the next trend on the internet,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella told experts last month at a Q2 company conference.
