Israel demolishes house of suspected Palestinian invaders | Conflicts between Israel and Palestine Issues
The demolition of the Montaser Shalabi building has been criticized by the US as human rights groups say the law is one and the same.
Israeli forces have demolished the home of a Palestinian American man accused of shooting dead an Israeli and injuring two others in the West Bank last May.
Montaser Shalabi has been charged in an Israeli military court in connection with a massacre near the city of Nablus in which the student Yehuda Guetta was killed.
After appeals to a Israeli court by the Shalabi family against the genocide were unsuccessful, the military said a two-story house in Turmus’ayya, a village inhabited by Palestinian Americans, was blown up and destroyed Thursday.

Israel says such genocide hinders potential Palestinians. Palestinians and criminal groups oppose the law as a formal punishment.
Shalabi’s wife, Sanaa, who lives with their three children at home in Turmus’ayya, said she spoke to their husbands over the phone Thursday. He described himself as “an opponent” and decided to rebuild the house.
“They want to confuse us, but we are stable. This is the situation with all Palestinians,” he said.
‘Violent destruction’
In a statement after the House was demolished, the US ambassador to Jerusalem called on “all parties not to take sides in the conflict and to try to improve bilateral relations” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
“This includes the destruction of Palestinian homes,” the spokesman said.
“As we have said several times, the whole family home should not be demolished because of what one person has done.”
The US criticism of Israeli policy for Palestinians was not uncommon during President Donald Trump’s inauguration, which welcomed Israeli settlements – which many countries consider illegal – in the West Bank. US President Joe Biden wants to resume relations with the Palestinians.
