Valve’s Steam Deck PC PC starts at $ 399 and starts in December

Rumors of Valve making the Nintendo switchch type it’s true. The company unveiled the file for , which arrives in December in the US, Canada, European Union and UK, availability is spreading to other areas afterwards. The machines start at $ 399.

Although weapons are not final, according to , the program looks like a mashup a Change, Sega Game Gear is Hot air. It has a display of seven inches long, with a resolution of 1280 x 800 at 16:10 factor ratio, 400 of bright and a 60 Hz revisation rate.

There are two microphones, 32.5mm small paper clips, an analog pointing pen, four front-facing buttons, triggers and a quartet of touch buttons, and gyro controls. The Steam Deck also features a headset, stereo speakers, dual microphone and fun feedback. It weighs around 669 grams.

Valve has partnered with AMD on hardware. The Steam Deck chip has a 2.4-3.5GHz processor and a 1.0-1.6GHz GPU. Valve says it’s a “Zen 2 + RDNA 2 powerhouse” that manages to run the most recent games “in a very useful electronic envelope.”

The mobile PC comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM up to 512GB of NVMe internal storage, which you can upgrade with a MicroSD card. Valve says the Steam Deck lasts between two and eight hours for one price. Battery life depends on how useful the game you are playing. The change, meanwhile, lasts up to nine hours.

Steam Deck uses the new SteamOS which was designed for mobile use. Valve says it uses Proton, a layer that allows the game to run without the manufacturers having to do any scripting work. You will have a complete game library. You can expect to have access to more Steam features, including chat, (so you can play games from your PC almost anywhere), the cloud stores and, of course, the Steam storefront.

The device has a quick stop and restart. Pressing the power button will stop your game and send Steam Deck to sleep. You can resume where you left off when you hit the power button again.

The Steam Deck supports several Bluetooth and USB-C devices. You can connect a USB-C connector and use several devices at the same time. You can connect the system to an external display and play games up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz.

Valve is also developing an approved port with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and Ethernet port, as well as USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 ports. You can use Steam Deck as a real PC, if you want – you can set up other retailers.

Steam Deck can be a game changer for those who want to play PCs of any kind while walking or relaxing in bed. However, the name is very similar to Elgato River, so it still looks like the session is following. Basically, the device costs only $ 50 more than the Nintendo switchch OLED version and the PlayStation 5 digital.

The $ 399 Steam Deck base comes with 64GB of eMMC internal storage and a backpack. For $ 529, you can upgrade storage to 256GB NVMe SSD. The 512GB model costs $ 649 and comes with “anti-glare etched glass.” The port will be sold separately.
