On Friday the Canadian government added American Nazis to its list of banned terrorist groups, yet another sign that the country is ahead of the United States in recognizing white supremacists as a threat.

Newly banned groups include:
- The Three Percenters, an increasingly popular American anti-government militant group in Canada. The name of the group, according to the Anti-Defamation League, is based on the suspicious history of the fact that only 3% of American colonists fought the British war in the Revolutionary War. At least six members The group is set to face charges on January 6 at the US Capitol. Mentioning material presented to journalists at a press conference, The Canada Broadcasting Corporation said the Canadian government also mentioned the role of two members in conspiracy to steal Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer last year.

Bill Blair, the Canadian Minister for Public Security and Emergency Planning, said a words cited is an important tool to help regulators to take the lead in ongoing threats and international events.
“Recent developments should dispel any suspicion about the dangers posed by violence that promote violence,” Blair said. “Intolerance and hatred have no place in our country and the Government of Canada will continue to do all we can to protect Canadians from all threats, including terrorism and violent violence.”
Selecting a group or individual as a “terrorist group” under the Canadian law makes it difficult for people to associate with their groups and allow. It also gives the government the power to suspend the wealth of its members and to pay anyone who can help them financially or physically. It can also enable administrators to access online content posted by perpetrators.

Following the January 6 attacks on the US Capitol, Canada moved to declare four left-wing groups or whites as terrorist groups, indicating it was the first time it had registered such groups. Among them was the Atomwaffen Division, a neo-fascist street fighting force Proud Boys, a senior general expulsion The Base’s uniform, as well as the right-wing military unit in the Russian Imperial Movement. At least a dozen people linked to the Proud Boys have been charged in an FBI investigation into Jan. 6 Capitol.
President Joe Biden has said that extremist white supremacy is one of the biggest threats to the United States today and has called it “an eye in America.” Earlier this month, the White House released a fix it to deal with domestic terrorism, which seeks to strengthen investigators, prosecutors, and agents, but never ceases to call for new laws to help.
