One time in 2019, phone consumers began to accept bad video modules. The excellent photographs taken by these cameras confirm their three- or six-dimensional explosion. And in 2020, the most serious problems in the community began to outweigh the outrage over the large-scale stampings.
Where consumers see video modules, however, Corning glassmaker saw an opportunity. Corning, which is now well known for its production Gorilla Glass which affects almost all high-end smartphones, found that the most recent mobile phone cameras do not like to scratch, due to the size of the lens modules and due to the way the glasses produce phones. When enough signs appear on the lens, the visual effects begin to suffer. Turning around, there is his glass.
Corning today announced its latest invention: New Gorilla Glass pre-designed for smartphone camera glasses. A new model, called Gorilla Glass DX and DX +, already exists; in July 2018 the company released this device for use on smartwatch models, making “its extravagant display, sun counts, exceptional durability, and resistance to scratching.” But Corning had to change the form of DX and DX + phones in order to play a bit without confusing image and video – in particular, increasing the amount of facial expressions and selling firmness.
“We see that the requirements for better energy monitoring are starting to come in a variety of forms,” said Scott Forester, Corning’s vice president of marketing and technology at Gorilla Glass. “With the advent of modern digital cameras, all lenses and distances from the camera have brought whips. [Manufacturers] he says, ‘I can’t use the opposition video there, so I’m just struggling with what I have today,’ which I am very glasses off. ”
Forester goes on to explain how the design features make it ideal for camera coating glasses. In most cases, coated glasses have a non-abrasive coating, which reduces glare but allows only 95% of available light to reach the camera sensor. Corning says the new version of the DX and DX + smartphones allows the camera to capture 98% of the light while competing with the standard Gorilla Glass. (It also states that the DX + dealer approaches the sapphire glass extinguisher, a manufacturing material known for its durability, transparency, and value added to the equipment.)

Corning declined to share the phone types that could be sent soon by Gorilla Glass DX or DX +. And in light of the past, Corning would not comment on its partnership with Apple. He also said Samsung will be the first customer to use the Gorilla Glass DX on its electronic clothing. Samsung is is expected to unveil five new ones next month at the annual Free Christmas Festival, which may include cell phones and new clothes; it should be the official release of the new Corning, though Corning has not confirmed this.
Corning isn’t the only manufacturer that wants to fix smartphone photos — no matter how sophisticated — with the technology designed to decorate glasses instead of photo sensors. WIRED’s Julian Chokkattu wrote earlier this year about the start of Metalenz, which replaces several multi-camera lenses with a single lens mounted on a small glass skin.
